Dr. Kristin Johnston received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida. While pursuing her clinical doctorate, she developed an interest in research and earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Audiology from the University of Florida as well. She has a great interest in improving the quality of life for people with hearing difficulties. As such, her dissertation centered on improving music listening for people who use hearing aids. Dr. Johnston has published research with her colleagues in the International Journal of Audiology addressing the benefits of assistive listening devices as treatment for auditory processing disorders in children and adolescents. She has taught and facilitated various courses for the University of Florida undergraduate and graduate programs in Audiology since 2006 and continues to do so. Before joining Clear Sound Audiology, Dr. Johnston worked in a variety of clinical settings, including pediatric otolaryngology, hospital clinics, and providing hearing services for Veterans.
Dr. Johnston uses her training as well as her own personal experiences as an individual with hearing challenges since birth to bring hope and helpful solutions to others with hearing difficulties. She and her husband have four children, ages 4 to 12, whom she has the joy and honor of teaching at home.Contact Me
